Fishing has been solid this fall to say the least. We’ve caught fish all over the place, from shrimp boats to open water to floaters. Many days we caught tuna within sight of land which was awesome. Its nice to spend more time fishing and less time running. As a nice bonus, we’ve had an early run of big wahoo. Not a lot of bites, but all big fish. As of late, the tuna have moved off of the shrimp boats and on to the mullets that move offshore every November. It never gets old watching 150-200 lb yellowfins getting airborne chasing big mullets. As far as the weather goes, October was awesome with some very stable weather but now as we move into November, the fronts are starting to move in so we are having to work around them. On a side note, I have been making some inshore trips to Lake Ponchartrain with great results on nice speckled trout and some redfish mixed in. This should last until about mid December.
